Bruno Himpkamp(28 Dezember 1925 - ?)Hans Leipelt had at one time tutored Bruno Himpkamp. In late summer of 1942, Leipelt helped inspire Himpkamp to action in the spirit of the White Rose Himpkamp had already been in trouble with the Gestapo. In June of 1942, he was forced to leave Hamburg's Wichern-Schule because his classmates accused him of being politically dangerous. He was arrested and held by the Gestapo for a short time because of this. Again in May of 1943, he was arrested by the Gestapo, along with Thorsten Müller and Gerd Spitzbart. On 12 April 1945, Himpkamp and Spitzbart were freed, but the court attempted to sentence Müller to ten more years in prison. People White Rose |
