The Kids' Bill of Rights
The Kids' Bill of Rights
Kids have the right ...
to be who they are
to be loved
to be cared for when they are sick and well
to be safe and protected
to defend themselves when someone hurts them and get a grown up to help
to want and get attention and affection
to be respected
to make mistakes
to get guidance from others
to learn from others
to ask questions
to have feelings
to say yes and no
to choose what they like and don't like
to disagree with other kids and grown-ups
to be with others sometimes
to be alone sometimes
to be different and unique
No one has the right...
to physically hurt a child - not grown-ups, not other kids
to sexually hurt a child - not grown-ups, not other kids
